Real Crash- Looking at Capitalism and its Laws:
Check out the Mobler Effect Like No Other- In a Free event in Times Square, New York City To Celebrate The, Say Anything 20th Anniversary Edition, Today, Tuesday, Nov 3, 4:00p, at Times Square, New York, NY. I guess it has something to do with reissuing movies on the allegedly so much better Blu-Ray format.
It seems that "Say Anything" was the ultimate romantic nebbish movie. Perhaps this is a kow-tow to Obama in some way, the romantic British agent. Grab a trench coat and boombox and go Lloyd Mobler style in Times Square for the 20th anniversary DVD & Blu-ray release of Cameron Crowe's classic Say Anything... Dressed in trench coats and carrying boomboxes, a mob of Lloyd Dobler look-a-likes will take to the streets in search of winning back true love.
The reason for this cult-like celebration is strongly suspected. The film also has a fairly famous soundtrack, including the Peter Gabriel Hit-- In Your Eyes. This is a funny dirge-like song, that actually sounds a lot like Stevie Winwood, formerly of Traffic fame.
In honor of their namesake film's 20th Anniversary release, Lloyd Dobler Effect will perform the song, In Your Eyes, acoustically live in Times Square.
