Real Crash - by Howard

We can avoid nuclear war by putting the financial system into bankruptcy reorganization.Need Glass-Steagall Act, water projects, space program. Need a change to production, the real American System.

Sarah Palin- Alaska's Elite or Trailer trash?

Real Crash- Looking at the Financial System and the War Drive:
Carly Simon, Legend in Your Own Time, Sarah Palin
Carly Simon, Legend in Your Own Time, Sarah Palin

Well you're nominated for Vice President;
Way up with the chosen of the land;
Think kind of sadly to yourself;

This isn't exactly what you have planned;

But you're a legend in your own time;;;

(spoof- Carly Simon, song- Legend in Your Own Time)

The announcement that VP candidate's daughter Bristol is pregnant, unmarried at 17-years old is beginning to confirm some of pundits suspicions- the Palin family is a bunch of trailer trash. Is this another case of Christian fundi symbolism? Will this woman and John McCain really be able to deal with a bunch of Brits and Neo-cons who want to go to the brink of nuclear war with Russia?

War just to "make the world safe for the IMF, WTO, the British Empire, Free Trade and Slave Labor? Yes, 90 nations object to demands to eliminate taxes and tariffs on the import of grains and food. They are doing this to protect their ability to grow their own food and not be starved to death. Will Sarah and John McCain be willing to go to war, in order to ensure the right of the Anglo-Dutch oligarchy, to starve these people to death? War to make sure there is no competition to a bankrupt financial system?

How about a four powers deal, Russia, USA, China, India, etc to put the bubble through a bankruptcy reorganization? Let's have a New Bretton Woods, like FDR. End speculation on currencies now. Rebuild infrastructure.

Lots of people have relatives who misbehave, Howard. You can't judge Sarah Palin by the fact that her daughter got pregnant any more than you judged Hillary because Bill is a pig. Her daughter could have killed the baby and kept it a secret, but she's standing up and taking responsibility for her actions by having the child and marrying the father. That's not a trailer trash behavior! Give Mrs. Palin a break and let's see how she does. The people of Alaska sure like her, she has an 80% approval rating, doesn't she? Our congress as led by Nasty Pelosi has an approval rating in the single digits!

Lord knows, Howard, I do not have even a scintilla of regard for SL’s opinions nor do I respect her intellectual honesty or competence. The fact that she felt compelled to bring up President Clinton is validation of my disdain. Further, the selection of Governor Palin to be vice-president is certainly reason to question and doubt Senator McCain’s judgment and rationality, But…

As a parent, I have learned over the years that parents do not always control or approve of their children’s behavior or activities. Governor Palin may or may not be “trailer trash”, but the out-of-wedlock pregnancy of her daughter won’t prove or disprove it.

I don’t think much of her, but fair is fair!

Gee Jim, I'm underwhelmed by your ability to say something reasonable! Wow! I brought up Bill (the Zipper) because he was the best case I could think of for not judging his relatives. I don't dislike or mistrust Hillary because of her husband. I dislike and mistrust her because of HER.

You can only judge a person by thewir OWN behavior. Even you probably have some nice relatives...

How about the second part, ie. war?

I'm not sure what you mean, Howard. We're getting ready to stand down in Iraq, thanks to the Surge (which Obama was against and still refuses to admit worked.) The war in Afghanistan continues (and Obama seems to agree with it). If Iran develops nuclear weapons and intends (as Ahmadinejad has promised) to attack our ally, Israel, what do you expect the president to do? Sit back and watch? Or support our allies? McCain said we could keep a presence in Iraq for 100 years if necessary. We've had a continuing presence in Germany, Japan and Italy since World War 2, haven't we? Don't we still maintain a presence in South Korea? We sold Viet Nam out, remember? They went totally Communist when we left. Is that what you want for the Middle East? To be over taken by jihadists and terrorists, rather than keeping a helping hand available?

Point well taken, Howard.

I am in the process of writing an article on our agreement with Poland setting up missiles in that country, thereby increasing US-Russian tensions without reason. My first paragraph, which I will now modify, points out

A nation must do whatever is in its own national interest, regardless of world opinion, although the latter is part of the formula for determining the former. The issue posed by the Bush (43) administration is whether the United States foreign policy has been kidnapped by a group of neo-conservatives which is determined to flex our military muscle even if (1) the military has been so spread that it’s muscle is limited; (2) the United States threatens relations with allies whose support is necessary in combating world-wide terrorism and in other endeavors; and (3) we resume the era of the Soviet-U.S. “cold war” which we had won over 25 years ago. Added to this mix is a president willing to acquiesce, determined to be more of a warrior than his father and intellectually incapable to recognize that he is being manipulated.

No, Howard, I do not trust either Senator McCain who no longer has the facilities he once had or Governor Palin whose lack of any meaningful history is manifest to steer this country to prosperity and peace.

But you trust Obama? Who has far less background, judgment and capoabilities than either McCain or Palin? Or maybe you trust the well known liberal hack Biden to know what he's doing? Honestly, Jim, you're too predictable and silly for words. Keep bothering Howard, by all means. Maybe he likes it.
