Ready to Go to Jail?
If you take a good look at the Jose Padilla conspiracy case, you get the idea that if you don't go along with economic collapse and war, you can go to jail too. You can see that the U.S. Constitution has left, possibly quite a while ago, and it may not be coming back. These terrorism cases are ridiculous show trials. Remember, Jose, the Chicago Hoodlum, was supposed to be the carryer or planner of the dirty bomb. And a lot of hoodlums become followers of the Nation of Islam (if they are all or part black) or other Muslim sects when in jail, to help cure their drugs, sex or alcohol obsessions. This US Citizen was convicted of a thought crime and filing out an application to go to a "training camp". What's next? If you go to the Guru Ba Wa's mystical training camp, are you conspiring to turn everyone into Buddhist zombies? I mean the guy claimed to have wanted to become a Muslim Iman or religious scholar.
We are at the very least back in the worst days of McCarthyism (aka Pres. Trumanism) in the late 40s and early 50s. If you join what is adjudged to be a "Communist front organization" you can lose your job, or possibly go to jail, they said back then.
How far are we from sending anyone who on any grounds objects to this endless war in Iraq, Iran, Ireek, Icant, etc. being called a terrorist supporter??? I have put in the link to the NY Times article which goes through the particulars of the Padilla case. Please (you know who you are) do not make any comments about blubbering liberals until at least taking time to read that NY Times article and the Constitutional challenges. Thanks
