It Ain't Nothing but an Obama Party
Real Crash- Looking at the Financial System and the War Drive:
It ain't nothing but a Chicago Party;
Made for an Iraqi Auchi billionaire;
And the Obamas and Rezkos were there;
"Would you like a nice mansion?"
"Can you do me some favors?"
"Would you like to be President?"
(spoof- Beatles- They say it's your Birthday)
The Dirt is coming out on Obama right on schedule. He said he did a bit of work for Tony Rezko, now on trial. Now it comes out at Rezko's Chicago trial that a witness states that the Obamas were at the Chicago house party, at Rezko's house, for Iraqi-British billionaire Auchi. The witness' name is Stuart Levine. That should be explosive, very soon.
Then Sean Hannity, a right-wing talk show host, has been been featuring the Obama connection to the unrepentant convicted terrorist Bill Ayres, now in the Chicago Quackedemic scene. London said they would never let Obama be President. I guess that's our president from our British Fairy Godmother. That's the British version of "the Godfather."

The Political Brief
As for his connection with Rezko, Obama has been very open. Which is refreshing, considering the fact that most politicians are involved in so many shady dealings that they try like hell to cover up, that they literally get swept under the rug.
Obama is new and different, and to most people, that's scary. But, before towing the Sean Hannity line (who is pretty much a lauging stock in the U.S. on both sides of the aisle) it's important to learn the facts, study the candidate, and their policies.
And, if you say that you don't care enough to research the candidates, that's fine. But, to post damaging and misleading info without due diligence is harmful to everyone.

It's easy to forget with all of the rhetoric that's flying around that he came from humble beginnings and began his career as a community organizer, working in the poorest communities.
And, I in no way think he threw his white grandmother under the bus. I think he was making a very valid point that when it comes to race, even some of those people we cherish the most have said and done things that we don't agree with. Does that mean that we should denounce them as human beings or try to change their minds and still love them? This was his point, and I think it was pretty obvious.
Also, to the point of Barack being the one to "always bring it up" regarding his race, this is factually inaccurate. He was trying NOT to make race an issue for the entire first year of his campaign, until it became clear that there is a segment of the population that is uncomfortable with race relations, a fact was exploited by his opponents, and he finally had to address it. Barack Obama has never called anyone a racist.
The Political Brief
This has nothing to do with race. Personally, there are several black candidates I would vote for, happily. Because they are qualified for the job, not because of their skin color. Those who don't like the fact that some people are against Hillary or Obama tend to use race or gender as the reason. Most of us who oppose them do so for philosophical reasons. Their politics are not what is best for this country and some people don't want to be bullied into approving of unacceptable candidates due to their sex or skin color.

Seriously, Mr. Obama has a lot of negatives, and despite his nice rhetoric he has NO policy at all. Unlike Hillary and her mortgage foreclosure freeze, Mr. O. does not even claim to have a policy. So he is worthless to everyone.

I am aware of his wife's quote, and it didn't offend me in the least. Because it has been so twisted and taken out of context. Most people, even those who are not for Obama, seem to have pretty firm grasp of what she was saying, which is that in her ADULT lifetime, this is the first time she's been REALLY proud of her country. Meaning that yes, America has historically done some wonderful things that we should all be proud of, but in the last 20 years, we have seen a gradual downward spiral, and are losing our standing in the world. People have become more and more cynical, and, for the first time in a very long time, many Americans are rallying behind a cause that they believe in. At the end of the day, you cannot know Mrs. Obama's heart, and all you are left with are her words. Yes, she made that statement, but she has also said since the beginning that she is proud to live in a country that has given her opportunities she has seen nowhere else. This whole conversation is pointless, however, because Sean Hannity and the like are pouding this rhetoric home daily, and people buy it.
The Rev. Wright thing is so hard for me to swallow, because it really disappoints me how fickle people are. People love to see good people fall, it's human nature, I guess. I challenge you to listen to the Rev.'s sermon in it's entirety. The one where he says , "God Damn America." You will see the whole meaning behind what he says. He's a preacher, for Pete's Sake! America has done some pretty awful things, and I think most preachers would agree that they have not been done to glorify God. Historically, preachers have talked about damnation in the face of unrepentant wickedness, and I guess your opinion of wickedness when it comes to the deeds America has been involved in of late just depends on where you stand on the issues of war, etc.
As far as the substance behind Barack Obama's speeches, he has specific plans laid out for every proposal he has made, and you can find them all on his web site.
At this point, I would like to say that I am just trying to engage in a healthy debate here. I just don't want anyone to think I'm attacking them. I get very passionate about this topic, but I'm not in the business of making enemies over it. If there's one thing that the election of 2008 has done, it has gotten people on both sides of the aisle more involved than they have been in a long time. I am happy to see so many people showing an interest in politics.
I sincerely apologize if anything I have said here has come across as snarky. It was not intended to be, and if anything I've said offends, I'm very sorry. It's probably important to note that I'm not a raging, bleeding heart liberal. I'm a moderately conservative granddaughter of a Lutheran minister, and he and I just happen to believe that Barack Obama is just the breath of fresh air America needs right now. I'll stop filling up your comments section now!

Mr. O.'s program is about issues that don't exist.

To disagree with him is one thing. To stand opposed to someone is fine. But to say that he only serves issues that don't exist is rather insulting to me, as he speaks pointedly to issues that exist in a very palpable sense in my life.
For example, if a candidate is against universal health care, I can disagree with that stance without disregarding the very real emotion behind the issue. I wouldn't claim that he or those that are inclined to agree with him are basing their philosophy on nothing at all. I would have to respect the fact that they see things differently than I do.
I'm sorry, but I just don't get the claim that he stands for nothing, or that his issues "don't exist". Perhaps I am ignorant, but I just don't get it. It comes off as rhetoric designed to discredit someone, rather than an opposing view point. Just my $.02.

They do this in the name of the super-rich who are "above" nation-states. The British Empire has always been horrible, but they "revived from the dead" with the floating of the dollar and deregulation of the 1970s and 1980s. Now under the World Trade Org, we are finished. Better to destroy the WTO and shut down the British system.
