Real Crash - by Howard

We can avoid nuclear war by putting the financial system into bankruptcy reorganization.Need Glass-Steagall Act, water projects, space program. Need a change to production, the real American System.

Greenies Still Trying to Kill Nuclear Power

Real Crash- Looking at the Financial System and the War Drive:
indian point, nyc, power, electricity
Indian Point plants in NY State

Greenies are still working hard to kill nuclear power. A New York State ruling would deny a new water permit to the two nuclear plants at Indian Point, 35 miles north of New York City. These plants supply 30 percent of the electricity to NYC and Westchester County. As the NY Times writes:

"The decision is a blow to the plant's owner, the Entergy Corporation, which now faces the prospect of having to spend hundreds of millions of dollars to build stadium-size cooling towers, or risk that Indian Point's two operating reactors -- which supply 30 percent of the electricity used by New York City and Westchester County --could be forced to shut down.

Entergy officials said that they were "disappointed" in the ruling and that they might fight it in court. The original federal licenses for the two 1970s-era reactors expire in 2013 and 2015, and a water quality certificate is a prerequisite for a 20-year renewal by the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission. But a prolonged appeal in New York could delay a shutdown, Diane Screnci, a spokeswoman for the commission, said late Saturday.

"An Entergy spokesman said that converting Indian Point's cooling system would cost $1.1 billion and would require shutting both reactors down entirely for 42 weeks. "

It's the usual greenie crap. NYC can be slowly losing bus route after bus route. Unemployment grows. Many new nuclear plants with more up-to-date equipment have not been built because of the greenie foundations and front groups. Yet, the public must be billed $1.1 billion to save a few fish this second, and screw everything else.

Green is the new religion of idiots, Howard. Their favorite excuse for fighting nuclear energy is that stupid movie from decades ago (the China Syndrome). Their entire belief system is based on fiction, starting with "Silent Spring" by moron Rachel Carson, then "the China Syndrome" and the Gore garbage "Earth in the Balance (as well as "An Inconvenient Truth" of course). Reality means nothing to these turkeys as long as they can pretend to "care about the environment" while punishing humanity for the crime of existing. What a miserable bunch they are.

Happy Easter Howard!

Chairman and his coreligionist the Watermelons, continue to march to their ultimate goal, the destruction of capitalism and reducing the US to third world status. Yes, they want you to pay at least $10 per gallon for gas. They hate the way you live and by the corpses of Marx and Mao they will make you pay for living well!

I hope you're not calling the Democrats the Watermelons. That's going to far!!

What an awful insult to watermelons! LOL

It's not nuclear power that's the problem, it's nuclear waste. It has to be cared for for 350,000 years and, given that the oldest man made buildings on the planet are around 10,000 years old (the pyramids), and no one knew what they housed until 200 years ago, you have to get the idea.

The Washington State nuclear waste dumps are all leaking into the Columbia River (check WS website) and they've tried all the present technology to contain it. Government is in a panic and is in talks with Australia to take the waste. They've discovered a granite in Lake Boga, Australia that can contain nuclear waste but it can't be broken up.

Will you guys take it over your back fence?
7. April 5th 2010 @ 09:41. Howard Says:
First of all, the waste can be reprocessed, including the military nuclear waste, and is reprocessed in France, etc. Second, there is much less waste, and more traceable waste in a nuclear plant than in a coal plant.

Anyway, if we do not have nuclear power we cannot go to fusion power. It's a process of transition to higher energy flux density, not ridiculous low density energy like the cultist solar, and wind.

We have to go back to the Moon and mine Helium-3. Then we will have the charged fusion process we need to get to Mars with constant acceleration.

Time for us monkeys to get out of the tree and the planet.

the answer is to deport communists and Green Weenies to North Korea where they belong.

Typical greener-wiener mentality. Clueless and giving clueless insights.
10. April 6th 2010 @ 00:05. Bill Green Says:
They're not answers, just positions. People need to be told why they're clueless and why their insights are clueless.
11. April 6th 2010 @ 00:10. Howard Says:
There's a certain arrogance about being pro-environmentalist, since we all know about the wealthy media interests that push green causes (I hope). There's a certain tendency to say "don't you agree with Bill Gates, Prince Charles, etc" even if you are unemployment or in difficulties. Suicide can feel very "in" for some people.
12. April 6th 2010 @ 00:14. S.L. Says:
And national suicide can appear to be a noble cause... when accompanied by enough teleprompters and junk science.
13. April 6th 2010 @ 00:36. Bill Green Says:
If you survive the instinct to suicide you know more. I'm a survivor from fifty years ago and my life only got better.
14. April 6th 2010 @ 00:51. S.L. Says:
Let's hope the whole country survives this and has a prosperous future as it was meant to have. Otherwise there won't even be a headstone to mark our passing and the USA will eventually be considered an ancient myth, if it's remembered at all.
