Economic Problems and Hitler Thoughts

Real Crash- Looking at Capitalism and its Laws:
I have been reading John Toland's 2-volume tome bio of Adolf Hitler. What lessons are there in this for today? Hitler was a monster, but he had a program, or was programmed to do one thing, drive East, fight Russia and Communism. Hitler was the epitome of nationalism gone wild, with no concern for other countries or ethnic groups. He sought living space, as the ultimate cruel real estate deal, and his solution to the economic depression. What is most interesting is that even this very "establishment" bio of Hitler admits that the British leaders, including Anthony Eden, Lord Halifax and briefly, King Edward VIII were fascinated with Hitler.
For the Anglo-Dutch oligarchy, what turned Hitler into a monster was his decision to strike West first. Though he had been programmed to drive East first, and attack and kill the Jewish and also Slavic masses there, the German Military command prevailed on him to go West. Indeed, after Hitler's triumphs in Norway and France, he could have been in operation for many years, since the Soviet Union was still supplying him. Why did he strike the Soviet Union in 1941? According to Toland, it was his obsession with "living space" for Germany, and to attack the Jews.
Lessons? The United States and Israel should not let ourselves be sucked into endless wars because of ideology. Israel, by attacking Gaza may be creating new enemies, just as Hitler did in attacking the Soviet Union. Just because we call ourselves liberal and democratic does not mean that we are safe from the sins and crimes of genocide and Empire.

I just have a question about a line in the post: "just because we call ourselves liberal..." how do you define "liberal"? Under current colloquial definitions in the U.S., I would have to say: "Speak for yourself."

Real Crash
Whether the incoming Barak Obama regime succeeds will bebased on if it is able to solve the pressing economic problems and related international problems of the breakdown of the economic and political system.
