The City Ice Paviion, in LIC, just a subway stop from Manhattan, NYC is opened for the season. Both yesterday and today they are having a free admission, ice party. General skating schedule is 12 noon to 2:20 pm. So rent some ice skates, or bring your own, bring the kiddies and have a ball.

The City Ice Pavilion is located at 47-32 32nd Place, near LaGuardia College and the Queens Plaza stop on the RR and N subway lines. Call them at 718-505-6230.

As civilization is threatened with a new ice age, both in climate and in a new Dark Age, it's time to get down on the ice and skate. Maybe the Ice King, Obama can make the scene too.
