As the U.S. economy merrily heads toward bottom, the candidates seem to have nothing to say. GW Bush and his pals are shooting down the Infrastructure Repair Act, even after over 10 people were killed and 100 wounded in the collapse of a bridge during rush hour in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Leading Dems, Hilary Clinton and Barak Obama seem to be addicted to hedge fund cash, the root of the problem of speculation, not production.
Despite some calls from Democrats to at least tax hedge funds at normal rates, it won't be enough. The hedge funds and their pay no taxes scams must be taxed to death and eliminated. Unlike the Banks, the hedge funds have no useful purpose, and don't even pretentd to have one. The collapse of American Home Mortgage and in Germany, of the Industrial Kredit Bank highlight how the disease of the collapse of the real estate bubble is now spreading and leading to the credit crunch. How many of YOU my readers know what do to about that???
The bill HR 333 is up to 17 signers. This is Rep. Dennis Kucinich's Impeach Cheney bill. At least Kucinich, also running for President, has shown some leadership in mobilizing to stop Cheney's war plan against Iran and other nations this August. Yes, my friends, the guns of August may be going off again like the summer of 1914 and soon after in 1939.

The Political Brief
Perhaps you haven't been watching the news lately. Did you know that Iran is insisting it plans to take over the entire Middle East and kill everyone that gets in it's way? Did you hear Ahmadinejad say that? I did. He was very proud to proclaim his intentions. In spite of the fact that Nasty Pelosi met with him personally and took a liking to him, no one in their right mind would trust him. Are you aware that a large supply of deadly weapons, being used against our troops, were manufactured in Iran? Didn't someone tell you that al Qieda has a powerful foothold in Iran? Have you heard that their "peaceful" nuclear ambitions are geared toward weapons and not energy? Everyone else has heard about it, if they pay attention.
Perhaps you believe we need to be attacked again before we do anything about it... but that doesn't make any sense, does it? You seem to be opposed to the War on Terror in spite of the fact that 9/11 happened. Are you such a pacifist that you don't think we should fight back? Or try to prevent more attacks? Maybe you think the peace of slavery and forced conversion to Islam sound like a nice idea. If so, by all means, move to Iran, kiss Ahmadinejads... ring... and continue to blame Bush and Cheney for everything. If you think we have financial problems now, just wait til the libs/Dems sell us out and the terrorists win. You'll get a clear, first-hand view of financial troubles.
